We responded to a Worland residence on August 5, 2024, after 9 p.m., where we discovered two decedents: a 32-year-old male and a 58-year-old female. I understand the alarm whenever more than one decedent is uncovered. This study revealed highly unclean living conditions as well as the people’s prolonged deaths.
As a result, autopsy and forensic toxicology were unable to determine a cause of death. The decedents did not suffer trauma, and there is no evidence of outside involvement. My theory is that both people died from the horrible living conditions in the home.
The Rich Hill Fire Department and the Bates County Sheriff’s Office both provided substantial help in this situation. For this, I am quite grateful.
Just before 9 a.m. on August 7, 2024, a friend discovered a 28-year-old man deceased in an apartment on West Atkison St. in Butler. Regrettably, the investigations reveal that the death was due to natural causes stemming from long-term medical issues.
