A man in Washington, D.C., was fortunate enough to win the lottery twice.
According to the DC Lottery, Phillip H. won the second of two Lucky for Life awards in the August 12 drawing.
Shortly after the drawing, he claimed his first $25,000 A Year for Life reward, valued at $500,000.
According to the lottery, Phillip kept the second winning ticket a secret because he couldn’t find it.
More than a month later, he returned with his newly discovered ticket to collect his second prize.
Phillip stated that his winning method included constantly selecting his numbers and purchasing two tickets.
He informed the lottery that he planned to use his winnings to pay for home upgrades and a new truck to assist with his volunteer efforts.
