A Pennsylvania dad daughter’s dog dead’ while she was on vacation after’sending photos with knife’

A Pennsylvania man is accused of shooting his daughter’s dog to death while she was on vacation. An alarm triggered the summons of police to a home in Greenwood Township, Juniata County, on August 19.

CBS station WHP-TV reported that they received 911 calls reporting a dog shot. Two witnesses at the scene allegedly told cops that Redd promised to monitor his daughter’s dogs while she and another went on vacation.

The day before, the 54-year-old texted his daughter to inform her that her dog, Gunner, had bit him and one of their puppies. He also allegedly threatened to kill Gunner, sending photographs of himself pointing a knife toward the dog.

Later that day, Redd claimed that Gunner fled, but the following day, a second individual discovered Gunner dead in the woods. The dog had received a bullet wound.

We retrieved video surveillance from the location, which showed Gunner sprinting from the house and a “muskel flash from the firearm facing the direction Gunner ran.”

Video also captured Redd walking with a weapon in his hand.

People reportedly told authorities there were guns in the house.

Redd is facing a number of charges in connection with the event, including severe cruelty to animals, possession of a weapon, and cruelty to animals. We anticipate his court appearance later this month.
