1 Person Found Dead During A Morning Shooting In Kansas City

An investigation has been launched after one individual was discovered dead following a morning gunshot in Kansas City, Kansas.

The Kansas City Police Department reports that they dispatched emergency workers to the vicinity of 49th and Dickinson Rd., near the BPU Nearman Creek Power Station, just after 7 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 3, in response to allegations of a shooting.

When first responders arrived, they reported finding an adult male with obvious gunshot wounds. The site pronounced him dead, but his identity remains unknown.

There had been no arrests in the case as of 10 a.m. The inquiry into the case is ongoing.
