A 64-year-old man has been apprehended by the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) for purportedly pilfering over $6,699 worth of merchandise from various CVS stores in Northwest, D.C. The arrest comes after an extensive investigation into the thefts.
Craig Wilson, a resident of Northwest, D.C., allegedly committed a total of 23 retail theft incidents between June 19 and September 9.
According to the police, there were instances where Wilson targeted CVS stores on consecutive days, multiple times.

On Thursday, authorities arrested Wilson, who has been charged with 23 counts of second-degree theft.
The MPD is currently conducting investigations into the incidents. They have also emphasized the importance of not intervening if one witnesses a retail theft in progress and instead, immediately contacting 911.
