ER nurse beat up in Houston Whataburger drive-through after crashing into the SUV in front of her

Over the weekend, a Houston Whataburger drive-thru brutally beat an emergency department nurse.

Fearing for their lives, the nurse claims she bumped into the SUV in front of her while waiting in the drive-thru line.

On Tuesday, the nurse told KPRC 2’s Gage Goulding that she volunteered to pull aside and call the police to file a report.

“I had rolled down my window to ask,” the victim explained. “And I apologize. I said, ‘I’m sorry.” Did I hit your car?” I honestly wasn’t sure. She instantly got out and began yelling. She gave me instructions to move my car backward.

However, the woman in the other vehicle became agitated, not only ranting profanely but also opening the victim’s car door, reaching inside, and hitting him repeatedly.

“She was visibly upset,” the victim told KPRC2. “I knew that, but I didn’t think she was going to come over, and, you know, I didn’t think she would attack me for it.”

The victim claims that the perpetrator came to her car and threw punches twice. Another customer in the drive-thru captured only the second round on video.

Victim: “I couldn’t really see. I was a little disoriented. She had hit my head, you know, on the side of my head and stuff.”

Gage Goulding: “What prompted her to come back again?”

Victim: “I’m not sure. I mean, I apologized. I apologized multiple times.”

Gage Goulding: “We’re concealing your identity for this interview because you’re scared of what she could do to you?”

Victim: “That Whataburger is really close to my house. I would not be surprised if she lived in the same area as me, maybe a few streets down.”

Gage Goulding: “Do you think she should be punished for what she did to you?”

Victim: “I just want her to realize that I’m somebody’s daughter just like she is.”

Gage Goulding: “I could tell she hurt you. Not only physically, but also emotionally.”

Victim: “Yeah. The scars will go away. You know, The bruises will heal. The swelling will go down. But I just felt so dehumanized.”

The nurse has a battered face, a split lip, and broken blood vessels in her eye.

Houston Police say they are investigating and seeking information to figure out who this woman is.
