When a teacher who worked with children and young adults with special needs faced a health crisis that forced him to leave school, his former students and parents rallied together to do something extraordinary for him. They reached out to Colton Shone and the Surprise Squad from Arizona’s Family for help.
Kim, the mother of Preston, a young man who has spent several years with Mr. G, expresses her admiration for the teacher’s aide. According to Kim, Mr. G treats everyone as if they are someone special. He demonstrates unconditional love for the kids and strives to break down barriers by bringing laughter into the lives of his students.

Spencer, who is one of Mr. G’s students, has a mother named Karin. According to Karin, Glenn loves the children unconditionally and enjoys helping them overcome obstacles by bringing laughter into their lives. Despite no longer being in Glenn’s class, both Spencer and Karin still cherish the time they spend with him, often engaging in activities like bowling.
Kim expressed optimism about his recovery, stating that he is on a positive trajectory. However, she acknowledged that there is still a long road ahead for his full recuperation.
Preston and Spencer, accompanied by their parents and the Surprise Squad, made their way to Mr. G’s house. Mr. G was under the impression that only Kim and Preston were dropping by, so he was taken aback when he swung open the door and discovered a small gathering in his yard.
Glenn passionately expressed his dedication to assisting individuals with special needs. This noble cause is not only dear to him, but his wife shares the same fervor as well.
When Colton opened the envelope and informed Glenn that he had been nominated by the boys and their families to receive $5,000, Glenn was visibly moved by the news.
