New York State Implements Extreme Measures in Response to Hurricane Helene

As Hurricane Helene approaches, New York State is making efforts to assist.

The Southeast is ready for Hurricane Helene.

Hurricane Helene killed at least three people.

As of 6 a.m. Friday, at least three people had died as Hurricane Helene slammed into the southeast.

A highway sign that fell on a car in Tampa resulted in the murder of one person. Another two individuals have died in Wheeler County, Georgia, when a potential tornado struck a mobile home.

When the hurricane made landfall in Florida, it had winds of roughly 140 mph.

“New Yorkers lead by example and help our neighbors in times of despair,” Hochul told me. I congratulate these brave New Yorkers for responding to the call and look forward to their safe return.
