Police are investigating shots fired at Vice President Kamala Harris’ campaign office in Arizona this week.
The Democratic National Committee campaign office on Southern Avenue and Priest Drive in Tempe sustained damage from gunfire shortly after midnight on Monday, according to the Tempe Police Department.
“No one was inside the office overnight, but this raises concerns about the safety of those who work there and those who live nearby,” stated Public Information Officer Sgt. Ryan Cook.
Detectives are presently evaluating evidence acquired at the site, and additional security measures have been implemented to protect personnel and others in the area, according to police.
Staff members came to the office on Monday and reported what seemed to be bullets fired through the front windows.
The office has detected criminal damage for the second time in as many weeks.
Authorities report that someone fired what appears to be a BB or pellet pistol through the front windows shortly after midnight on September 16.
