Police arrest couple for keeping children in unsanitary apartment covered in feces

Police in Oklahoma detained a couple after they allegedly found multiple children imprisoned in a room filled with feces.

A neighbor contacted 911 after witnessing two young boys, about three and four years old, naked in an upstairs window, according to KOCO.

When cops arrived, they were practically overwhelmed by the stench of feces and urine inside the unit.

Officers reported that Dakota Dodd, 24, guided them to the bedroom where they found the children.

“There’s feces on the walls and on the children. MSgt. Gary Knight of the Oklahoma City Police Department described the situation as “completely disgusting.”.

The bedroom was connected to the bathroom, but the door on the opposite side was locked.

Dodd allegedly acknowledged locking the boys in their bedroom for more than 12 hours a day, according to KOCO.

Police stated the conditions were such that crime scene investigators had to wear hazmat suits to protect themselves.

Dodd’s biological child was the third child present in the home.

Aubrianna Freeman, 22, is the mother of all three children.

Both Dodd and Freeman are facing various accusations of child neglect after their arrests.

It is currently unknown who is looking after them.
