McDonald’s employee claims drive-thru customers using a common greeting are ignored

A McDonald’s employee revealed a common behavior among drive-thru customers that could lead to their neglect. A McDonald’s employee slammed the seemingly common behavior as “rude” on TikTok.

The user, @maccaworkaddict, posted a video of herself dancing with the text overlay: “You can’t keep ignoring the car in the drive-thru because they screamed hello as soon as they get there.” The personnel’s irritation stems from the alarm sound they hear when a car approaches the intercom.

While some TikTok users supported her, others ridiculed her. She clarified that her videos are “all a joke” and devoid of seriousness. If you arrive and no one greets you, she said you can call an employee. “How about simply saying, ‘One second, I’ll be right with you?'” “I say hello because I’m not sure if they know I’m there,” one person wrote on the video, according to the Irish Mirror.

Another drive-thru employee added, “Each time they say hello, I make them wait another 10 seconds, lol.”

A different user commented: “I hated working at Burger King, especially when this customer was out there sitting there yelling as soon as I put the headset on.”

One person said, “I completely empathize. I either do this or instantly respond, ‘Yes, How Can I Help You?’, indicating that I am irritated.”

A former McDonald’s chef has revealed how to make the renowned Big Mac sauce at home. Mike Haracz, who worked as a corporate chef for the fast-food chain until 2019, has been sharing exclusive information on his TikTok channel, including the secret recipe for the famed Big Mac sauce.

In one of his most popular videos, he says, “Chef Mike here, former corporate chef for McDonald’s, and I am going to give you my recipe on how to make Big Mac sauce at home.”

To begin, Chef Mike pours one cup of mayonnaise into a bowl, then adds 1/4 cup of sweet pickle relish, two tablespoons of Dusseldorf mustard, and one teaspoon of white wine vinegar.

He then adds one and a quarter teaspoons of paprika, one teaspoon of onion powder, one teaspoon of granulated garlic, and one eighth teaspoon of white pepper. He explained, “All you have to do is mix everything together. As you can see, this recipe contains no ketchup. The color in Big Mac sauce is derived from paprika. You should let this set for half an hour before making any attempts. This is the closest you’re going to get.
