A woman was killed on her birthday, and her husband was identified following a terrible murder-suicide.
The medical examiner’s office announced Monday afternoon that 64-year-old Azucena Cruz Limon died from a shotgun gunshot to the chest on Friday.
Authorities claim she was murdered by her husband, 63-year-old Manuel Osvaldo Limon, who was discovered dead at the scene with a shotgun wound to the abdomen in a proven suicide.
Manuel is believed to have shot his wife with a shotgun as she was lying in bed. He then lay down next to her and turned the revolver on himself.
Their adult son discovered their deaths at approximately 4 p.m. on Friday at their home on Oneoak Drive near Loop 410.
