Walmart Shoppers Could Receive Checks From $3.88m Overcharge Settlement – Follow These Two Steps To Qualify

Walmart shoppers who purchased certain 40-ounce or larger cans of tuna may be entitled to a share of a $3.875 million settlement. This resolution stems from a class action lawsuit against StarKirst and Lion Capital, which alleged price-fixing for Foodservice-Size Packaged Tuna products, according to the sun.

Settlement Details: Who’s Eligible?

To qualify for a payment, individuals must have purchased these specific tuna products from Walmart between June 1, 2011, and December 31, 2016. Eligibility extends to purchases from other stores like Sam’s Club, Costco, and US Foods. Eligible customers should have received a postcard with qualifying purchase values. Those who received a postcard without a qualifying purchase will not be eligible for a payment.

No Claim Form Required

Walmart shoppers do not need to submit a claim form. If they do not exclude themselves from the settlement, they will automatically receive their share of the settlement. Payments will be distributed pro-rata based on the number of claims filed.

Important Deadlines

The deadline for exclusion and objection is August 30. Final approval for the settlement is scheduled for November 15. Ensure you act quickly to secure your potential payment.

Other Ongoing Settlements

In addition to the Walmart tuna settlement, other notable ongoing settlements include:

Group 1001: Up to $5,000 available due to a data breach.

Great Expressions: Up to $6,000 for those affected by a recent data breach.
