What’s even more impressive is that she managed to accomplish this by the tender age of 15. A true prodigy in the world of boxing, JessZilla even took the time to write her own memoir, titled “My Corner of the Ring.”
Jesszilla, a feature film directed by Emily Sheskin, became a notable success, winning four awards at the Fargo Film Festival. These awards included Best Picture, Best Documentary, and Best Director.
At the young age of 7, she embarked on her boxing journey, driven by a clear vision of what she wanted to achieve. This is evident in her obituary on the Hennessy Heights Funeral Home website.
Jesselyn’s unwavering determination and unwavering focus enabled her to achieve remarkable feats during her time with us. As an exceptional boxer with an indomitable spirit, she fearlessly confronted every challenge that came her way. Despite being diagnosed with cancer, Jesselyn persisted with unwavering courage and strength, never allowing adversity to hinder her relentless pursuit of progress.
As of press time, the GoFundMe campaign set up for Jesselyn’s family has already gathered over $17,200 in donations.
On Tuesday, August 20, friends and family gathered at the Stellmantown Cemetery in Woodbine to pay their final respects during a heartfelt graveside service.
