Trio Of Thieves Assault Woman And Snatch Her Two Pit Bull Puppies On NYC Street: Police

Three heartless thieves snatched a woman’s two puppies right off the streets of the Bronx earlier this month. Unfortunately, the pets have yet to be reunited with their owner, according to the police.

According to the NYPD, there was an altercation between the 42-year-old victim and three suspects on August 1 at approximately 11 a.m. The incident occurred on Southern Boulevard near the intersection with Jennings Street.

According to police and sources, the woman entered a building and later emerged with her two pit bull puppies. The trio then proceeded to follow her.

She was punched in the face by a male suspect, while his two accomplices swiftly grabbed the dogs and made their escape.

The dog owner sustained injuries to her face, but she declined medical attention at the scene.

According to the NYPD, the thieves are still on the loose and the whereabouts of the dogs have not been determined.

On Wednesday, as part of their ongoing investigation, the police unveiled photographs of the suspects. Additionally, they shared images of the two stolen dogs, one being a brown pit bull and the other a black-and-white spotted pit bull.

If you have any information about the theft or the suspects, the NYPD is urging you to contact its Crime Stoppers hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
