A Mega Millions ticket sold in Indiana for Tuesday’s drawing has a value of $40,000.
The ticket for the Aug. 20 drawing had a perfect match with four numbers and the Mega Ball. The winning numbers for that particular drawing were 5-20-26-49-51, with a Mega Ball of 24. What made this win even more exciting was the fact that the Megaplier was 4X, quadrupling the usual $10,000 prize.
The winning ticket was purchased at GetGo #7547, which is situated at 3301 E. 96th St. in Indianapolis.
In Tuesday’s drawing, although the jackpot remained unclaimed, a lucky ticket sold in Arizona secured a $1 million prize by matching five numbers. Similarly, in Delaware, another ticket matched five numbers and utilized the Megaplier option, winning an impressive $4 million.
The upcoming Mega Millions drawing is scheduled for Friday, August 23rd, and it boasts an impressive estimated jackpot of $527 million, with a cash option of $261.9 million.
The jackpot has now surpassed $500 million for the third time this year, making it the 13th largest in the history of the game. The last time someone won the grand prize was back in June.
