Fatal shooting in West Virginia leaves two dead

Two men were killed in a shooting incident at a residence on East Burke Street in Martinsburg, according to a report by the Martinsburg Police Department

Just before 3 PM, an incident took place at 326 E. Burke Street, which immediately caught the attention of local law enforcement.

Upon their arrival, officers discovered the lifeless body of a male victim inside the residence.

Another man was found near the back entrance of the house. Emergency services quickly transported him to Berkeley Medical Center, but unfortunately, he was later pronounced dead.

Both victims suffered from gunshot wounds.

According to the police, they have confirmed that only the two men were involved in the incident, and they assure the public that there is no current danger to their safety.

Authorities are still actively investigating the incident, and as a result, a section of East Burke Street is currently closed to traffic.

The police are currently ensuring that the families of the victims are notified first before releasing their names.
