Chief Deputy M. Haines expressed his deep concern over the video, describing it as “disturbing.” The community and even people beyond were equally disturbed as the video quickly gained thousands of views and shares. Haines remarked, “It was one of those unfortunate instances that went viral for all the wrong reasons.” He added that they received calls about the incident from as far as Texas.
In the video, Ryan can be observed leaning over the crib, shouting intensely at the baby while repeatedly swinging her arm down towards him. The video’s quality makes it challenging to discern the precise nature of the interaction with the child, but its implications were sufficient to trigger immediate reactions from both viewers and authorities.
