Body of Tennessee Woman Missing Since June Found in Lake Cumberland After Silver Alert Issued

A woman who disappeared in Cumberland County almost two months ago was discovered deceased in a Kentucky lake on Saturday afternoon, according to authorities.

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) issued a Silver Alert on August 2nd for 69-year-old Roxanne Gallagher. She was last seen in late June along Dogwood Road. Officials have stated that Gallagher has a medical condition that might hinder her ability to return home without assistance.

When the alert was initially issued, law enforcement officials stated that Gallagher might be operating a maroon 2000 Buick LeSabre with Tennessee license plate BGR-9782.

On Saturday, August 17, just over two weeks later, the TBI revealed that Gallagher’s lifeless body had been discovered in Lake Cumberland, Kentucky.

The bureau expressed their thoughts and condolences for the loved ones of the individual.

The authorities have not disclosed any further information regarding the circumstances surrounding Gallagher’s disappearance or the subsequent discovery of her body.
