I stood with firefighters across Upstate New York to push for the reauthorization of the Assistance to Firefighters Grant program, and I’m grateful that, as a result, the AFG Program is continuing to deliver results.”

Gillibrand praised the unwavering dedication of firefighters in safeguarding our communities.

According to the statement, the federal funding will be used to equip, train, and provide resources to New York fire departments, ensuring their safety as they respond to emergency situations.
