A tornado watch is in effect across Eastern Pennsylvania, including all Philadelphia-area counties, until 2 p.m. This watch indicates that tornadoes are possible within and near the specified area.
Counties Affected
Residents in the watch area, including Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Lancaster, Montgomery, Northampton, Philadelphia, and Schuylkill, should stay alert and be prepared to take action if a tornado warning is issued.

The watch also covers most of New Jersey and the following counties in Eastern Pennsylvania: Adams, Berks, Bradford, Carbon, Columbia, Cumberland, Dauphin, Juniata, Lackawanna, Lebanon, Lehigh, Luzerne, Lycoming, Monroe, Montour, Northumberland, Perry, Pike, Snyder, Sullivan, Susquehanna, Union, Wayne, Wyoming, and York.
Additional Weather Advisories
Today is expected to be wet and stormy due to the remnants of Tropical Storm Debby. Several other advisories are in place:
- Wind Advisory: In effect until 8 p.m., with southeast winds of 10 to 20 mph and gusts up to 45 to 50 mph expected.
- Flood Watch: In effect until 1 a.m., with heavy rain from Debby potentially bringing 1 to 2 inches of rain, and localized areas could see 3 inches or more.
The storm is anticipated to clear by Saturday, with sunny skies and a high of 84°F expected.
