Indiana State Police have issued a statewide Silver Alert for a woman who has gone missing from the northwest region of the state. The search is currently underway to locate the missing individual.
The authorities at the Lake County Sheriff’s Department are currently conducting an investigation into the case of Vicki Lynn Kirkwood, a 55-year-old Black woman who has been reported missing. She stands at 5’5” and weighs 140 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.
According to police reports, Kirkwood was last spotted in Merrillville at approximately 2 p.m. on Tuesday. She was wearing a black hoodie with black pants that had multi-colored stripes. Merrillville is located 141 miles northwest of Indianapolis.
