Man Who Fled From Community Corrections Center 6 Years Ago Located In Massachusetts

On Thursday, the Department of Correction revealed that a man who had fled from their custody almost six years ago had been apprehended in Massachusetts and returned to Delaware. The man in question is 34 years old.

On August 12, 2018, Andre Wright scaled over the perimeter fence at the Plummer Community Corrections Center in Wilmington, according to the department.

The Department of Correction operates a Level 4 facility, commonly known as the center, which serves as a transitional housing for offenders who are reintegrating into society. The center allows these individuals to leave the facility to attend work, search for employment opportunities, or participate in approved treatment sessions.

The U.S. Marshals Service brought Wright back to Delaware after he was imprisoned for second-degree burglary.
