Six more stores in Oregon to be closed by Big Lots

Big Lots, a discount retail chain with a national presence, has announced the closure of six additional stores in Oregon. This brings the total number of planned closures to eight.

By Friday, there were almost 1,400 stores located throughout the United States under the Ohio-based retailer, with 14 of those stores specifically located in Oregon.

In a recent turn of events, an Ohio-based retailer that previously announced the closure of 35 to 40 stores due to financial difficulties has now slated nearly 300 stores across the United States for closure. This update comes after a June filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission revealed the original plans for store closures by the end of the year.

Big Lots recently announced its first-quarter sales figures, which reached $1 billion, reflecting a 10% drop from the previous year. The company attributed the decline to a reduction in consumer spending.

These are the Big Lots stores in Oregon that will be closing down:

The address for 2000 14th Ave. S.E. in Albany remains the same.

Beaverton’s 18565 S.W. Tualatin Valley Highway is a must-visit location.

The address of 1960 Echo Hollow Road in Eugene is a notable location.

The address for 304 N.E. Agness Ave. in Grants Pass remains the same.

The address 2083 N.E. Burnside Road in Gresham is number 5 on the list.

The address for 2121 Newmark St. in North Bend remains the same.

The address of the location is 16074 S.E. Mcloughlin Blvd. in Portland.

The address of 2025 Lancaster Dr. N.E. in Salem is number 8 on the list.

In Oregon, there are currently six stores that have not been marked for closure. These stores can be found in Bend, Hermiston, Klamath Falls, Medford, Roseburg, and Springfield.

Big Lots is set to close one of its two stores in Vancouver, specifically the one situated at 2100B SE 164th Ave. This closure is a part of the company’s plans to downsize its operations.
