Quincy Area Police Undertake Huge Narcotics Operation And Arrest Many Criminals

In a joint operation on July 31, 2024, the Quincy Police Department, in collaboration with the Illinois State Police, Adams County Sheriff’s Department, and West Central Illinois Task Force, carried out a narcotics detail.

Our focus was on cracking down on the possession and distribution of narcotics in Quincy and Adams County through our narcotics detail operation.

The information revealed that there are more Police Officers on patrol in the city.

Throughout the operation, law enforcement apprehended the subsequent persons:

    • Thomas L Kealen, 39, Quincy, Illinois was arrested and lodged on several outstanding Adams County warrants for Fleeing to Elude, Possession of Stolen Motor Vehicle, Possession of Controlled Substance, Obstructing Justice and an Illinois Department of Corrections Parole warrant.
    • Lacee J Blevins, 41, of Quincy, Illinois was arrested and lodged on outstanding Pike County, Illinois warrants. During the arrest, Blevins was also arrested and lodged on new charges of Possession with Intent to Deliver Methamphetamine 15 grams – 100 grams.
    • Leonard D Sims, 47, of Quincy, Illinois was arrested and lodged on an outstanding Adams County warrant for Possession of Methamphetamine. During the arrest, Sims was also arrested and lodged on a new charge of Possession of Methamphetamine.
    • Michael R Morgan, 41, of Quincy, Illinois was arrested and lodged on an outstanding Adams County warrant for Possession of Methamphetamine.
    • Adam L Stehl, 43, of Quincy, Illinois was arrested and lodged in the Adams County jail on a new charge of Possession of Methamphetamine.
    • Terrill D Phillips, 45, of Quincy, Illinois was arrested and lodged in the Adams County jail. During the arrest, Phillips was arrested and lodged on new charges of Aggravated Battery to a Police Officer, Aggravated Assault to Police Officer, threatening a Public Official and Resisting arrest. During the arrest, Phillips was violently resisting arrest by attacking officers and threatening the arresting officers.
    • Dennis L Hernandez, 61, of Fowler, Illinois was arrested on July 31. Deputies with the Adams County Sheriff’s Departments Special Response Team executed a search warrant in Fowler, Illinois on behalf of the West Central Illinois Task Force. During the search, officers located over 550 grams of methamphetamine and 6 firearms. Hernandez is lodged in the Adams County jail on charges of Possession with Intent to Deliver 400 grams – 900 grams of methamphetamine and Felon in Possession of a Firearm.
