New York State Police have announced that a man, aged 65, is facing charges for allegedly abandoning a mastiff by tying it to a light pole along the Southern State Parkway.
On July 1, Glenroy Bramble was identified as the individual who left Roxi the Mastiff behind. Along with the dog, a bowl filled with food was abandoned, and a note was left beside it.

SHE IS FOUR YRS OLD
SHE HAS BEEN FEED [SIC] AND
GIVEN A FLEA BATH, SHE MAY
STILL HAVE ISSUSES [SIC] WITH THEM
SEE THAT SHE GETS GOOD CARE”
Police officers discovered Roxi on the Southern State Parkway exit 21 in Hempstead. After locating the four-year-old American bull mastiff, New York State troopers safely delivered her to the Town of Hempstead Animal Shelter in Wantagh.
On August 19, Bramble is scheduled to appear in Nassau County District Court to face charges of abandonment of an animal, which is a misdemeanor, and a violation for not providing proper shelter for a dog.
It is currently unclear who Bramble’s attorney is at this time.
