A man has been given a four-year sentence for transporting cocaine from Texas to Virginia

A federal court has sentenced a 30-year-old man to four years and four months in prison for transporting more than 15 kilograms of cocaine from Texas to Richmond.

The U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) reports that in November 2023, Jesus Alejandro Ibarra-Morales, aged 30, traveled to Brownsville, Texas from Mexico and collected two car dollies. These dollies were found to be carrying more than 15 kilograms of cocaine hidden in their axles.

The Department of Justice was informed that drugs were being transported to Virginia and immediately alerted law enforcement agents. The authorities were able to intercept the vehicle driven by Ibarra-Morales in the Richmond area and discovered the cocaine concealed inside.

On August 2nd, Ibarra-Morales received a sentence.
