Wisconsin man charged with Missouri cattle theft

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a man was arrested by Wisconsin police in connection with the theft of Missouri cattle that occurred in August of last year in Howell County.

On July 25, authorities arrested Jordan Leisgang, a 27-year-old resident of Seymour, Wisconsin.

In August 2023, Leisgang sought the assistance of a resident in Howell County to buy and transport 450 cattle from Arkansas to Wisconsin. However, Leisgang’s actions after the transaction were less than honorable. The victim was never paid for the cattle and all communication was blocked by Leisgang, leaving the victim in a difficult situation.

Leisgang was charged by the grand jury in Howell County for receiving stolen property, almost a year after the incident. Following the charge, Leisgang was arrested by the Outagamie County Sheriff’s Office in Wisconsin just eight days later.

Leisgang is currently in custody awaiting extradition to Missouri, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol. He will be held on a bond of $100,000.
