Escaped Delaware Prisoner Apprehended 6 Years Later In Massachusetts

A man who fled from a Delaware correctional facility six years ago was recently captured in Massachusetts.

According to the Delaware Department of Correction, Andre Wright climbed the fence of the Plummer Community Corrections Center in Wilmington on August 8, 2018, and avoided searchers.

Wright, 34, was last known to reside in Philadelphia after receiving a second-degree burglary conviction.

The DOC did not say what led to Wright’s arrest but said he was returned to Delaware by the US Marshals Service.

They also did not specify if Wright would face prosecution for his escape.
