Police in Connecticut have charged four men for reportedly evading arrest while driving a stolen vehicle.
At 3 a.m. on Tuesday, Rhode Island police informed the officials about a stolen vehicle that was heading towards Connecticut on Route 101 and had failed to stop.
As the authorities initiated their search for the car, news of a collision on Hartford Pike came to light.
According to the police, the vehicle was discovered deserted on the westbound travel lane, exhibiting damage that suggested it had rolled over.
According to eyewitnesses present at the location, the individuals inside the premises left the scene by foot.
The authorities managed to locate all four individuals who were then taken to a hospital for further evaluation and medical assistance.
Investigators have reported that a 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee was stolen from Hebron on Sunday.
According to the police report, the vehicle rolled over after the driver lost control while approaching a curve on the highway.
Jonathan Becker, aged 19, along with Adrian Ortega, aged 19, Santana Rodriguez, aged 18, and Charles Woodall, aged 18, were identified as the four men involved.
The police charged all four individuals with the offense of interfering with them.
Each of the passengers were detained on bonds of $10,000.
Woodall, the driver, has been charged by the police with reckless driving and larceny of a motor vehicle.
The bond set for him was $15,000 and he remained in custody.
They took all four individuals to Danielson Superior Court to face arraignment.
