During a violent crime spree that took place across two states, a man from Delaware was found guilty of both kidnapping and carjacking.
On Tuesday, a verdict of guilty was reached for 24-year-old Tonnaire McNair-Matthews by the jury.
According to prosecutors, McNair-Matthews, along with David Hinson, Michael Caldwell, and Mahkiya Powell, engaged in theft by deliberately causing car accidents and then stealing from the drivers.
In the year 2023, there were occurrences in both Delaware and Chadds Ford, Pennsylvania.
The defendant could potentially be sentenced to life in prison, which is the maximum penalty for his charges.
