On Friday, Texas coach Steve Sarkisian revealed that he and his wife Loreal have filed for divorce.
On their Instagram stories, both of them shared posts that had some similarities but were different. They conveyed that their busy professional lives have made it tough for them to give each other the time they need. However, even though they have decided to part ways, they have made it clear that they still intend to maintain a strong friendship.
“While we appreciate all the love and encouragement we have received, we kindly ask for your understanding and respect for our privacy during this transition as we embark on this new chapter in our lives,” the post finished.
Sarkisian has experienced a second divorce, having previously separated from his first wife Stephanie in 2015. His marriage to Loreal took place in 2020 while he was still a member of Nick Saban’s staff at Alabama.
Loreal, an accomplished stylist, has made a name for herself in the fashion industry. Prior to her success in fashion, she was a track star, specializing in hurdles during her time at North Carolina A&T State University. In addition to her professional achievements, Loreal is actively involved in charitable efforts.
