Missouri Woman Detained On Suspected Drug Distribution In Osage County

On Monday, authorities in Osage County arrested a woman from Missouri on suspicion of drug distribution charges.

According to Sheriff Chris Wells, Kyra Merriman, a 37-year-old resident of Kansas City, was apprehended for a suspected traffic violation. After being stopped by an Osage County K-9 unit at US Highway 75 and 189th Road, approximately five miles north of Lyndon, she was found to be in possession of illegal narcotics.

Authorities arrested Merriman on suspicion of distributing methamphetamine, possessing various depressants, hallucinogens, marijuana, and related paraphernalia. Moreover, he was also taken into custody for committing aggravated child endangerment.

There are pending formal charges that are yet to be finalized.
