According to the Swanton Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol, a man lost his life on Saturday night after he walked across the lanes of the Ohio turnpike.
According to authorities, a Ram 1500 pickup truck struck Matthew T. Savord, 30, as he was crossing the eastbound lanes of the Ohio Turnpike on foot.
Officials stated that Savord sustained fatal injuries at the site of the crash.
It remains unclear why Savord was walking across the lanes at the time, according to the OSHP.
