According to officials from the Fairfield Police Department, a social media influencer who was widely recognized has been arrested and charged with multiple burglaries that took place across various towns in New Jersey. Additionally, the influencer has been charged with other offenses committed in New York and Connecticut. The arrest was made on Wednesday.
In February, the Speedway Gas Station on Route 46 was burglarized by Antonio Ginestri, 19, from Queens, New York, and his alleged 16-year-old accomplice. Recently, both were arrested by the Fairfield police.
According to the police, Ginestri, who goes by the name Squeeze.Benz on social media, has been charged with burglary, theft, and two counts of conspiracy. Additionally, Ginestri has been charged with involving a minor in the criminal act.
Due to his age, the authorities did not disclose the name of the 16-year-old who was charged with burglary, theft, and two counts of conspiracy.
On February 6th at 2 a.m., the Speedway on Route 46 East was reported to have been burglarized. Authorities were called to the scene to investigate.
According to the police, the individuals who left the site were spotted by detectives and were found to be driving a grey BMW X7. Interestingly, the vehicle had not been reported stolen yet. Later on, it was discovered that the same car was used in similar burglaries that took place in Roseland, Secaucus, and Hasbrouck Heights on the same morning.
According to police, the suspects and vehicle in question are also wanted for criminal activities in various other towns in New Jersey, as well as in New York and Connecticut.
Officials have identified Ginestri and a 16-year-old juvenile as two of the suspects involved in the incident. However, the police have not disclosed the identity of the third suspect or whether the individual has been apprehended or charged.
Authorities have reported that Ginestri is currently in custody at the Bergen County Jail on unrelated charges. He was arrested by New York police on May 16, however, details regarding the charges he is facing have not been disclosed at this time.
Ginestri, who goes by his social media handle, is widely recognized for sharing videos of himself driving luxury cars and motorcycles at lightning-fast speeds through traffic. With a following of approximately 77,000 people, his account has garnered quite a bit of attention.
Stefan J. Erwin, Ginestri’s lawyer, chose not to comment on the allegations against his client. However, he did mention that Ginestri is currently appealing the court’s decision to detain him.
