Police: Woman flees attempted rapist near NYC gym

Cops in Manhattan are looking for a man who they say attempted to rape a lady near a renowned gym on the Upper East Side.

Late on Friday night, a woman reported an attack that took place near East 76th Street and Second Avenue, as confirmed by the NYPD.

Upon discovering the victim, police reported that she had sustained cuts to her head. As a result, she was promptly taken to a nearby hospital for medical attention.

After the attack, the perpetrator fled the scene on a two-wheeled vehicle. According to the clothing description provided, he was wearing an orange shirt, tan shorts, and sneakers.

According to a witness, he and another kind-hearted individual provided a secure location for her to seek refuge and successfully deterred the assailant. The police have not yet released any further information regarding the incident.

No arrests have been reported thus far.
