Police Sought For The Suspect In The Attempted Rape On The Upper East Side

Authorities are currently on the lookout for a male suspect who made an attempted rape on a woman in the Upper East Side.

Just before midnight on Friday, a curious incident took place near a New York Sports Club located on 76th Street and 2nd Avenue.

A 27-year-old woman sustained a minor injury to her head when she was cut.

The medical team at New York-Presbyterian, Weil Cornell Medical Center took charge of her treatment and she is anticipated to make a full recovery.

According to the description, the individual being sought is a male who was last seen wearing an orange shirt, tan shorts, and black and white sneakers.

Riding a scooter, he quickly made his way down 76th Street.
