Panola County- Two pedestrians tragically lost their lives in a crash in Panola County. The victims, Bobby Harrison, aged 38, and Charles Harrison, aged 40, both residents of Sardis, were identified by the Mississippi Highway Patrol (MHP).
The incident occurred early on Thursday, July 11, around midnight on Highway 35. According to MHP, a northbound pickup truck collided with the two men, who were walking in the same direction.
The Harrisons succumbed to their injuries at the crash site. It remains unclear whether they were walking in the middle of the road or alongside it at the time of the accident.
MHP did not disclose any information regarding injuries to the 27-year-old truck driver from Sardis involved in the crash.
Panola County is west of Oxford.
