Group Promotes Teaching Of The Holocaust And Genocide

Syosset has welcomed a new group dedicated to education about the Holocaust and genocide.

Jack Britvan, a native of Jericho, is the leader of the charity Voices for Truth and Humanity.

“We’re working to make Holocaust and genocide education mandatory for students from K through 12 in schools across the country,” Britvan told CNN. So far, seventeen states have embraced the initiative. He also claimed to have received backing from New York Governor Kathy Hochul and New York State Board of Regents member Roger Tilles.

Too many students across the country are not receiving instruction about the Holocaust or genocide. Students are not studying history to learn about how racism and hatred may lead to the persecution and mass slaughter of innocent people.”

Students must understand that “never again” means “never forget.”

According to Regent Roger Tilles, anti-Semitism, racial intolerance, and excessive nationalism can lead to death and persecution. We must teach the lessons of the Holocaust before we can learn them.”

According to 4th President Jack Britvan, “Never Again means Never Forget!”
