A woman hailing from Paterson was arrested by Clifton police for assaulting multiple officers, including biting one of them, during her arrest. The 21-year-old, Fadwa Alchamas, had provided false information about her identity during a traffic stop. However, when officers discovered her true identity, they found out that she was wanted in Somerset County. Alchamas was taken to Clifton police headquarters, where she threatened and assaulted several officers during processing. As a result, two officers were hospitalized with minor injuries. Alchamas is facing charges of making terroristic threats, obstruction of the administration law, hindering apprehension, and several counts of aggravated assault. In the same car with Alchamas was a 34-year-old Clifton man who was released with a summons.
