According to officials, a man from Detroit was apprehended last week after attempting to flee from the authorities. During his escape, he threw bags of cocaine onto the roofs of two restaurants, Red Lobster and Texas Road House, located in St. Clair County.
On July 3, authorities from the county’s Drug Task Force team apprehended 29-year-old Eric Talton.
Attempting to apprehend Talton at the Qdoba in Fort Gratiot Township, the team members were unsuccessful as he managed to evade them.
While being pursued on foot, Talton reportedly tossed 18.5 grams of cocaine onto the roof of the Red Lobster eatery and 1.8 grams onto the roof of the Texas Roadhouse restaurant.
The law enforcement officials successfully retrieved both bags containing cocaine.
Upon his arrest outside the Texas Roadhouse, Talton was found to be carrying $1,020 in cash during a subsequent search.
The charges against him consisted of possession with the intention to deliver cocaine, tampering with evidence, resisting and obstructing, and maintaining a drug house.
After his arraignment, Talton received a bond of $50,000.
