Police Found Hollow-Point Bullet Loaded Handgun on Woman in Stolen Lexus at Paramus Mall

According to Paramus Police Chief Robert Guidetti, Officer Kevin Grady spotted a 2012 white Lexus R35 in the parking lot of Westfield’s Garden State Plaza on Saturday, July 6. He immediately recognized that the vehicle had been stolen from Orange on July 3.

Grady, with the help of Officer Connor Nutland, observed a man and woman entering the car while conducting surveillance.

According to Guidetti, Destiny M. Johnson, 25, of East Orange, and Quayshaun Burno, 27, of Newark, were the ones identified as the individuals involved.

According to Guidetti, Burno and Johnson had warrants out for their arrests due to multiple motor vehicle and failure to appear incidents in various jurisdictions, such as Bloomfield, North Warren, Union Township, and Newark.

Grady discovered a Glock 43X firearm inside Johnson’s handbag while conducting the investigation. Consequently, Johnson and Burno were apprehended and transported to the police station for processing. Additionally, the authorities impounded the vehicle for further examination.

Johnson faced multiple charges including possession of a large capacity magazine, possession of hollow point bullets, unlawful possession of a firearm, possession of burglary tools, possession of prescription pills, receiving a stolen motor vehicle, and possession of a firearm. Burno, on the other hand, was charged with hindering arrest and receiving a stolen motor vehicle.
