Caitlin Clark and Kate Martin, who both joined the WNBA after playing for the Iowa Hawkeyes, have maintained a strong friendship.
Clark and Martin, who used to be roommates, are now located at opposite ends of the United States. Clark is currently playing for the Fever in Indiana, while Martin is playing for the Aces in Las Vegas.
Despite the distance, both individuals have been expressing their affection towards each other through social media.
Martin caused a stir on Instagram on Monday when she shared pictures of herself on the Aces.
Her caption read, “I adore my job.”
Caitlin Clark’s heartfelt responses to the post have left her fans swooning with admiration.
Clark replied to the post with a heartfelt message: “I love you too, 🖤🖤🥹🥹.”
Clark didn’t stop at just one comment, however.
In one of the photos, Martin’s mom, Jill, was also mentioned, as noted by the speaker.
Clark stated that he was only present for “jilly bean”. It is evident that this term is a moniker used by Clark for Martin’s mother.
It warms the heart to witness the rekindling of Clark and Martin’s relationship.
Regrettably, fans will have to wait until September 11 to see the two former Iowa Hawkeyes square off on the court again.
