The Pirates Ran Out Of Fireworks After Hitting Seven Home Runs Against The Mets

During Friday’s game against the New York Mets at PNC Park, the Pittsburgh Pirates had a surprising mishap – they ran out of home run fireworks.

The Mets were left with a depleted supply of fireworks after the Pirates hit an astonishing seven home runs against them.

According to the Pirates’ post on X, they hit an incredible number of home runs that they actually ran out of fireworks to celebrate their achievement. The post conveyed the team’s surprise and excitement at their accomplishment.

As the bottom of the eighth inning came to a close, a message flashed on the scoreboard that read, “This. Is. Insane.” The Pittsburgh Pirates had managed to hit an impressive seven home runs during the game, a feat that had only been accomplished five times in the team’s history. The message went on to mention that the team had even run out of fireworks to celebrate the many homers.

On Friday, Yasmani Grandal, Michael A. Taylor, Rowdy Tellez, Jack Suwinski, and Bryan Reynolds all hit a home run each. Tellez and Reynolds even managed to hit two homers each, including a grand slam each. This impressive feat tied a franchise record with seven home runs in a single game.

Pittsburgh’s offense may have been explosive, but their pitcher, Paul Skenes, was equally impressive. Skenes delivered seven innings of top-notch pitching, allowing only four hits and two earned runs while striking out eight batters on 107 pitches. It’s no wonder that he remains unbeaten this season with a perfect 5-0 record.

On Friday, the Pirates emerged victorious with a resounding 14-2 win. The two teams are set to face each other again this coming Saturday at the PNC Park.
