
Garden City Community College student Alexis Heckel has been selected as one of seven recipients of the 2023-2024 Noyce Teacher Leader Scholarship.
The Noyce Teacher-Leader Program is a competitive scholarship program at Fort Hays State University that offers a $14,591 renewable scholarship to juniors and seniors preparing to become a science or math teacher.

The National Science Foundation’s Robert Noyce Scholarship Program is a collaboration between teacher education, physics, geosciences, chemistry, and biology and is designed to increase the supply of highly qualified middle and high school science and mathematics teachers.
