Lachele Greathouse, Professor of Business, and Alli Griffin, Head Athletic Trainer, have been selected for the annual NISOD Excellence Awards, which recognizes those who have demonstrated an outstanding commitment and contribution to their students and colleagues.
The award is based on nominations from fellow colleagues. Greathouse and Griffin were honored during an all-employee meeting April 6. They will also be recognized during NISOD’s annual International Conference on Teaching and Leadership Excellence, May 27-30, and receive a specially cast, pewter medallion hung on a burnt- orange ribbon.
“NISOD’s commitment to fostering professional development and leadership for educators meets a critical need. It is important to offer opportunities that inspire excellence in the classroom and beyond and highlight the great work, innovation and focus on student success that exists at GCCC,” Dr. Ryan Ruda, GCCC President, said. “As a peer-nominated award, Lachele and Alli have demonstrated outstanding commitment to the campus, community, and students. We are all very proud and appreciative of the dedication they convey daily to improve GCCC.”
