GARDEN CITY – More than 150 high school students from across the area attended the Southwestern Kansas Entrepreneur showcase Thursday at TATRO Plumbing in Garden City.
TATRO hosted the business entrepreneurship session of the showcase and provided students with a first-hand look at a day in the life of the HVAC/plumbing industry.
Activities included interactive sessions where students received hands-on experience with equipment such as aerial lifts, excavators, and company fleet trucks. In addition, TATRO provided information about what it takes to be in business.
Several speakers also talked to the students about business acumen, banking, insurance, architecture, and information technology.
On Friday, upwards of another 100 students, this time from Garden City, will attend the showcase.
