GC Achieve, Virtual Academy students recognized

Students were recognized for academic success and achievements during the Garden City Achieve and Virtual Academy graduation ceremony on May 7.

Sunny Prince and Natali Rico-Alba were recognized with the Principal’s Academic Achievement Awards from the Virtual Academy.

Jeremiah Kaup was recognized graduating with academic honors from GC Achieve. 

Ashfield Prince and Luke Weideman are seniors from the Virtual Academy that were recognized graduating with academic high honors. 

Miah Garabo, Bailey Ramirez, Mallory Sandoval, and Chelsea Valadez are seniors from the Virtual Academy that were recognized graduating with academic honors.

Adriana Mena, Sunny Prince, Anahi Reyes-Cisneros, Natali Rico-Alba, and Samantha Sauseda are juniors from the Virtual Academy that were recognized graduating with academic high honors. 

Mariea Galves, Nevaeh Robinson-Dailing, and Brianna Varela are juniors from the Virtual Academy that were recognized graduating with academic honors.

Seven students were recognized for graduating in three years as juniors from GC Achieve, including Sheila Alba, Bibiana Anchondo Sanchez, Jennifer Gomez, Emily Lopez-Reyes, Israel Marquez, Armando Moya Paez, and Alondra Zavala.

Bibiana Anchondo Sanchez, Merik Tzul, Luis Murillo and Adriana Mena received the Dale M. Dennis Excellence in Education award.

Recipients of the Dale M. Dennis Excellence in Education award are identified in high schools throughout the state. The students who receive this award display citizenship, community and school service, scholarship, and strong self-awareness that make them a quality individual. 

The Dale M. Dennis Excellence in Education Award was established in 1996 by Kansas school administrators to honor the long and valuable service that Dale Dennis has provided to Kansas education.  The individual attributes that characterize Dale M. Dennis as a friend of education, and more importantly as a first-class citizen, are the basis for determining the recipient of this award.
