The Mercer Gallery is pleased to bring in the University of Kansas Painting Club to wrap up the visiting artists for the 2020/21 academic year. “Stages”, an art exhibition featuring painting students at different points, periods, or steps in their lives, careers, and education, is showcased at The Mercer Gallery now through April 23rd.
The KU Painting Club is a student collective under the direction of nationally renowned painter, Michael McCaffery, that is passionate about expressing themselves through pure pigment. The club aims to create a community where members share ideas and inspiration, including critical theories, techniques, artists, and works. This organization participates in events such as gallery visits, painting sessions, and artist talks and establishes a network of fellow artists who share an enthusiasm for the craft.
The KU painting will be interacting with GCCC ART Students in April through a Zoom conference on Thursday, April 15th, at 7 PM. If you would like to attend this meeting, please contact email@example.com for details.
