GCHS Students Qualify For International Thespian Festival

Garden City High School recently received information that it had two students qualify for the International Thespian Festival (ITF), which will be held virtually this summer. The two students are Adriana Mendoza and Byrant Detvongsa.  They received a Superior rating in Duet Acting qualifying them for the ITF.  Students had to film their entries and were submitted in November for judging.

The school had 10 students compete in the tri-state Texas, Kansas, Oklahoma Virtual Thespian Festival in Thespy’s (previously called Individual Events).  The other students that competed from the school were: Razel Quintero, Vanesa Macias, Jairus Lobmeyer, Maddie Stout, Riley Metheny, Jessica Angulo, Shyla Cowles and Jessie Standley.
